Founded in 2019 by Frank and Emma Bothwell, the Thomas Franks Foundation was created to provide support to disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young adults across the UK. Frank and Emma have long shared a mutual desire to ‘give back’ from their successful business and the Foundation will provide a focal point for fundraising within the wider Thomas Franks community.
We believe everyone should have access to food, no questions asked. Feeding Communities uses Thomas Franks resources and expertise to produce made-up food parcels and freshly prepared meals in response to those in need, with no questions asked
Beyond Education-Being Human has one vision: to help provide children and young adults with essential cooking and food based life skills. Delivered through piratical workshops by our skilled teams and the surplus food created is donated and delivered to local charities.
The aim of Feet up Fridays is to provide support for unpaid carers, whose work is not only vital to our society, but which requires incomprehensible time, effort, and sacrifices.
The aim of We Grow You Grow is simple, to educate children from an early age that we can nurture a healthy, positive mindset towards food usage and highlight how we can have control over our impact on the planet.
SURPLUS TO PURPOSE
Surplus to purpose is an environmental CIC which specialises in the interception of food that’s deemed surplus or waste before it heads to landfill. This produce may be past Best Before, have suffered packaging mishaps or accidental damage, often it is simply an overproduction and deemed surplus to requirements. Making it perfectly fit for the shelf and for our plates.
Simply put, we give ‘surplus’ food its purpose by putting it BACK onto plates.
