We are looking for an energetic, dynamic, hands on Commis Chef with a TRUE passion for fresh, nutritious, seasonal on trend foods, working 5/7, term-time only to join the catering team within a prestigious independent school in Ascot.

The post holder will be responsible for providing outstanding food and customer service to students and staff in a busy catering operation with some high-end hospitality service, we are looking to appoint an Commis Chef to work alongside our Chef brigade. The role would be to assist in all aspects of food provision from preparation to serving during the lunch sittings. In addition, you will be required to undertake daily cleaning duties as required to maintain food hygiene standards.

The successful candidate will have in depth knowledge of the hospitality industry; ideally in an educational or similar setting. You will also have proven experience of managing and motivating a large catering team and producing fresh, modern and high-quality home cooked meals within budgetary guidelines. A ‘Can do’ attitude, flexibility and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Basic Word and Excel working knowledge is a must.
